Hello, guys! I was here at Harry Styles concert on 17 May, it was an amazing show
Even better than expected
I originally went on the Johan Cruyff Arena tour just for my son, but I ended up really enjoying it myself and learning a lot along the way. I also never realised home many global champions played for the team! Our guide, Tijn (not sure if the spelling is correct), was excellent. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and funny, which made the experience feel relaxed and interesting. The tour was a good length and good value for money. It covered plenty without being boring, and we saw behind the scenes, which was genuinely fascinating. The stadium itself was amazing, so I can't wait to actually see a game now. The free book we received when purchasing the photos was a lovely bonus and a nice souvenir to take home. Overall, this was an interesting tour that exceeded my expectations and is well worth doing.
A must see tour for any football fan
If you have teens and they enjoy football the Ajax stadium tour is a must, it’s a well invested slot on the schedule. We did the VIP Tour which didn’t disappoint. The tour guide Ed was brilliant, extremely knowledgeable, could read the room as we had English, Polish, and Dutch in the group, he managed everyone perfectly, keeping the younger and older children interested and kept the attention of all the adults. Well worth a visit.
Amazing
We visited the arena and took a stadium tour. We paid for the VIP package and were so glad we did because our guide was excellent. Having a 49 year season ticket holder tell you about his club for two hours was amazing. What he did t know about Ajax or the club want worth knowing. We got to visit the royal box, experience a walkout onto the pitch (with the Ajax sound blaring in our ears) have a beer in the skybox, visit the home and away dressing rooms and learn a bit about the mind games and mentality of their configuration. A look through the trophy room and the Ajax hall of fame. Really good two hours.
Worth a visit if you are a soccer fan
Interesting tour for soccer fans. Knowledgeable guide but need to ask questions to get the full benefit of their knowledge. Able to go on the pitch but only because it was covered ready for a rock concert. Perhaps could have had more information about the life of Johan Cruyff who was an interesting character. Prices in fan shop high.
Impressive stadium
Having being one stop away from the Arena on business it was a no brainer to come to the stadium and hsve a loom around. Its a nice neighbourhood with a few shops and food vendors
Cathedral of Football
What a dream this stadium is! As a lifelong Ajax fan visiting from abroad, watching the 125th Anniversary match vs AZ Alkmaar was amazing. Sitting next to F-Side watching the tifo and the ultras was insane! Everything about this place is perfect [except for getting on the metro with 55,000 other nuts].
10/10
Not a massive football myself but my boyfriend is. We both really enjoyed it and the stadium is fab. Would definitely recommend
Legendary team and stadium
The famous football stadium is five minutes from Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA train station. It dominates an area surrounded by shops, a cinema, bars and restaurants. Sadly, I did not get to see a game or enter inside. However, I got to marvel at its design and take photos of the legendary Johan Cruyff picture. Certainly worth a visit for football fans and if in the area.
A brilliant day
Well that was a fantastic tour. So much information about the club history and its players. Archie, our guide, was funny and oh so knowledgeable about AJAX the team, the stadium and everything in-between. A brilliant tour.
Great tour with knowledgeable guide
Had a guided tour with Ed on 20-01-25. He was very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble, he even tried to help me buy a football shirt by searching online for me as I was unable to find one I wanted around the city. He was very friendly and allowed us enough time to ask questions or take photos. The stadium itself was great and Ed put on the Ajax entrance music for us as we walked out of the tunnel onto the pitch which was a nice experience. I enjoyed my visit to the Johan Cruijff Arena.
Amsterdam football weekend
First time at this ground and was impressed by the stadium itself the surrounding facilities and the helpful staff. Had one the cheaper seats but was more than happy with the view and the seating. Easy access to refreshments and toilets. All in all one of the best grounds I have been to and would definitely go again if in the area.
Nothing for non-football fans!!
My partner who is a huge football fan really enjoyed this and said there was a lot more access in this tour than other stadium tours. The big issue for us was that there was no tour guides or even audio guides and as a non football fan it would have really helped my experience to have this.
AJAX match day tour & match
Stadium is right there when you get off of the train. Very easy to get inside and out after the match. Even in the upper corner you have a great view of the action. Overall great experience. The match day tour was very well put together and enjoyable.
Inspiring and interesting.
As far as history in football Ajax is possibly one of the most prestigious. A journey through the times of glory was both knowledgeable and enjoyable and rotated the club in a very positive manner. The tour guide was humorous and insightful and it was very enjoyable.
Tour
Was in Amsterdam for weekend and was hoping that. Ajax would be at home but they weren’t. So decided to book a tour stadium. You might be better off to get an Uber to the ground. The tour lasted almost 2 hours. You got to see everything. Dressing rooms, boxes sit in dug out, press room. The tour guide we had Archie was really good and knew his stuff a very good knowledge.
Great stadium and great stadium tour
Great stadium tour would highly recommend to anyone, easily accessible to all as well. With the chance to try on old jerseys within one of the dressing/changing rooms - with shirts from famous players who have played at the Johan Cruijff arena. From Mijatovic (real Madrid 1998) to the Frenkie De Jong Netherlands/Holland jersey from June 2021. Which you can also try on as well (not many stadium tours give you the chance to try on these shirts/jerseys so credit to Ajax. With the club with the great history that it has it was great to see how in-depth they went with the stadium audio tour (a must I believe), with also the chance to sit in both the home and away team benches and to see where which fans sit from the home fans, away fans as well as the hospitality as well.
Good Stadion
Good Stadion, Home base for Ajax Amsterdam & Dutch National team. The stadion very big and you can find ajax merchandise shop.
Best tour guide in the Netherlands
Getting to the entrance to buy the tickets and start the tour was bit of an adventure but we found it. One tour guide on Friday 21st of June took it upon himself to add to what would have been a very basic experience and he made it memorable. Highly recommended.
Johan cruyff stadium tour netherlands
Wow what can I say went on the vip guided tour was amazing well worth the money everything they said we would get we got our guide was called Tim he was very knowledgeable 100per cent great tour guide we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves would recommend anyone to go if you get the chance
Quicker than expected
Smaller than expected so didn't take long...bar on site was nice! Staff very knowledgeable, we didn't book a guided tour but still made time to talk to us. 10% discount in shop with ticket doesn't mean much as so much on sale and discount not available with sale goods
Self Guided Tour
The self guided tour is great but quite short, almost as soon as you start you're in the players tunnel & on the pitch, which was surprising. Some information is available on the walls as you walk around, but there could've been more.
VIP tour
VIP tour was nice. Tour guide spoke in English, answered questions, took photographs at different stages of the tour. Enjoyable experience even for non-football fans. Pleasant staff.
Stadium Tour
Went on the stadium tour during the summer whilst in Amsterdam. Stadium is very easy to get to via public transport and train station is right outside the stadium. Tour guide was very knowledgeable with some great information about Ajax and the stadium. Answered any questions too. Only disappointment on the tour was not being able to see the pitch as it was covered up for a concert but I knew about this in advance. Club shop is also very good and because we booked tickets in advance they gave a discount on items bought in the shop.
Fanatic value for money
Fantastic from start to finish. No time pressure at all and all of the staff were very pleasant. Very well run. A must for any football fan and u would recommend to anybody!
Ajax experience
Very good tour and informative! Friendly host answering questions and offering stories in multi languages.
Very,very good!
We went to the guided tour. It was so good! The guide was excellent and we really enjoyed. We got to see and hear so much from this Stadium and Ajax. It was sure worth the visit.
Who knew a football stadium visit could be such good fun.
My 16 year old son and I visited. We booked a guided tour. Our tour guide was brilliant. He had phenomenal knowledge of football, and had incredible stories. It was great to hear a loyal Ajax fan getting his dream job, and his passion shone through I know little about football and still really enjoyed myself. The shop is expensive as you would expect but you do get 10% from going on the tour.
Brilliant experience
From the time we entered to when we left it was a great experience. The staff were friendly and very helpful - when we went around we did the self tour however in every area there was someone to tell you about the room you were in . One particular lad, who was in the away dressing room was spectacular!! he and my husband could have talked football forever, he even caught up with us to give us more information about the museum. You are not rushed - you go at your own pace and even if you are not a football fan it was good experience. Reasonably priced compared to other clubs we have been to- lots to see
Great Football Arena
A great experience and a fabulous arena. Well organized venue and a great (noisy) crowd made this a must do football stadium visit. Pricey buying tickets from home(UK), but still worth it.

Enjoyed the guided tour, disappointed with the VR
Our family of 4 enjoyed the 75 minute Guided Full Experience Tour. Our tour guide was friendly and informative and in each area we visited, we had plenty of time for self-exploration and picture taking. The VR experience part was disappointing, as you were given a cardboard box to put your cell phone in (note that a larger phone and/or a bulky case may not fit), and this was not really part of the tour itself anyway. You then had to carry this around with you. We were told that the VR could be done from home, and we did try it 2 weeks later, but the picture orientation was opposite the cardboard box orientation – just did not work well. We did visit the arena during summer concert season, so could not see the pitch as it was covered with metal plates. After the guided part of the tour, you can explore the trophy room/museum. The gift shop had a wide variety of items. Easy to get to by metro train from Amsterdam Centraal Station – no connections and entrance was a five-minute walk from station. There are several bars, stores, restaurants and a movie theater in the area between the train station and stadium.
Great tour
Had to change our booking twice with minimal fuss. Opted for the audio tour which we couldn’t get to work. Didn’t take away from the experience as we did it at our own pace and spent plenty time doing so. Enjoyed the experience
Fermata metro a pochi metri.
Facilmente raggiungibile in metro.
Sicuramente consigliata.
Stadio tanto semplice quanto bello
Nessun caos all’uscita.
