The Explore Pass is the only pass you need when you are visiting Amsterdam. Choose between a 50, 75 or 100 Explorer Point pass. You will receive a confirmation email with link a to activate your pass. When you have activated your pass you can redeem your Explorer Points for admission tickets to the attractions. In the Explore Amsterdam app you can view all the attractions and tours, keep track of your Explorer Points and manage your bookings.
Yes, the Explore Pass is fully digital. You will not receive a physical pass. The Pass is only reachable on the app. The app is reachable via the link in your email. You can save the URL for easy access.
No, you do not have to download an app. The Explore Pass app is a website that you can reach via your browser. You do not have to download new software to use it.
We do not offer an Explore Pass for children. The pass is for all ages.
You have to use the Explore Pass to book tickets for the attractions. You can not walk into attractions by only showing the Explore Pass, you would need to scan your tickets. You book tickets by opening the Explore Amsterdam app and redeem points for tickets of said attraction. You will receive the tickets of the attraction in the Explore Pass app. The tickets are what you have to show to get admission to an attraction.
With the Explore Pass you can book your tickets in advance to create your own itinerary. Some attractions are more likely to sell out. You can check the attractions website to get an idea of how far in advance you have to book your tickets to be sure of a spot. Keep the season in mind, as there is an increase in demand during school holidays.
The Explore Pass always includes 24 hours access to the famous Hop on Hop off sightseeing bus for free. This bus takes you all around town and you can hop on and off whenever you want for 24 hours.
The pass is valid for 1 year (365 days) from purchase or until you finish all of your Explorer Points.
